John,
If you're looking for LM, you don't need no steenking GPS co-ordinates. You need to fish every milfoil bed in more than 8 feet of water you can find within 3 miles either way of Ticonderoga. Or launch in South Bay, idle over to the nearest bed of water chestnut and pick up your flipping stick. Oh, wait. I see you are up Plattsburgh way. If you want to wait for September, the pilings from the old railroad bridge across the new York side of the lake just south of the border will be so thick with LM that you'll have to fight 'em off. But right now, it's probably thick with hammer handle sized pike. If you've got a map (and you really do need one to fish champlain), find Pelot's Bay and Carry Bay (North Hero Island, and the south end of Aulrurg Passage). The two referenced bays meet at Savage Point. That's really all you need to know. You'll catch plenty there. RichZ© www.richz.com/fishing |
