I'm completely new to the whole fly fishing consumer market (please read
with intended sarcasm). I live in San Francisco. I'd like to know if there's anywhere within 30 miles to cast my line and actually catch a fish. I'm looking for someplace with a small stream or a stocked lake or pond. Don't laugh too hard when you read this. Thank you. -Cory |

![]() Try Lake Bon Tempe in Marin County. Summer is the wrong time of year for the Russian River. You have already missed the (puny) shad run. Flows are regulated for the recreational user, not the fishermen from Memorial day through labor Day. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll check out Lake Bon Tempe. I also
appreciate the info on the Russian River. Since I'm new to this whole thing, any help at all is a great help. -Cory wrote in message Try Lake Bon Tempe in Marin County.
