Hello,
I am having problems installing my new tach on a 2003 40 horse yamaha four stoke.I have to select a switch on the tach for ethier a 6 pole or 12 pole generator. I have no idea what my motor has.And have no idea how to tell the differance between the two. I have looked in my owners manual and all over the net. Hopefully somebody here will have the answer. I am trying to get my new Lund Bass boat ready for spring. Thanks in advance Brett Ferris, Knotts Island NC |

Should be able to get that info from your dealer. And my older Yamaha motor
book lists the generator type in the generator spec section of the motor specs in the back of the book. |
