What is the best rod to use when fishing for cut throat??

The one made for me by a friend a couple of years ago. It is in my
front
hall closet. You can't have it.

Wolfgang

Isn't that a bit stingy of you?

Hell, I didn't say he couldn't USE it. But if I give away every best
rod I've got, I'll have to come to you to borrow one.......and you
haven't exactly offered, have you?

If all it took to get you out west for some steelhead was to lend you a
rod, I'd be glad to do it. I have to admit it would be graphite, I
don't use cane, but if yoiu can do a bit of slumming you're welcome.

Well, I'd love to get out west to fish again but steelhead wouldn't be at
the top of my list. I've got nothing against them, mind you, but there are
others I like better. If all it took to get me out there was the loan of a
rod (and graphite would suit me just fine), I'd take you up on the offer.
However, I've got all the rods I need.......this is what comes of not giving
them all away. No, I think a cash grant of.....oh, say $5000, would be much
more effective in smoothing out the wrinkles in my travel plans.

Wolfgang
and, for the fiscally challenged, that comes out to about 100,000 shiny new
nickels.

Blasphemy! Next thing you'll be saying is you fish with "flies" made of
foam, use leader links and loop connections, like processed american cheese
food, and enjoy a blended scotch

Actually, I use flies made of processed american cheese food products.

use leader links and loop connections,

And if you've never tried using both together, you are in for a treat!

like processed american cheese
food,

Dunked in blended scotch, it ain't all that bad.

and enjoy a blended scotch

See above.

Marinate your olives in the blend too?

Thinking of trip to the driftless area this weekend maybe, interested?

I forgot to ask, do you have something against steelhead?

What would be at the top of your list? (just curious)
