Ohio DNR also recommends cutting the line from the hook as close as
possible. The fish will spit the hook eventually. Alan D. "Sideshow Raheem" wrote in message news:bXxLc.138811$IQ4.116473@attbi_s02... "Rodney" . wrote in message ... Cut the line, do not try to remove the hook if it is out of reach (past the throat) The best thing to do in the future is try to reduce this, start setting the hook faster, don't let them run with the bait, or use a circle hook, or start drop shotting more -- Rodney Long, Inventor of the Long Shot "WIGGLE" rig, SpecTastic Thread Boomerang Fishing Pro. ,Stand Out Hooks ,Stand Out Lures, Mojo's Rock Hopper & Rig Saver weights, Decoy Activator and the EZKnot http://www.ezknot.com I've been hearing that the hook WON'T rust or rot away if I do this and the fish will starve to death. |
