Default the ones that got away............

Great question, for me the answer is no. Last summer I was fishing early in
the a.m, as I came across a point I chucked a big heddon Lucky 13, twitched
it a few times and saw it get gently sucked under. I waited to feel some
pressure and when I did, I wrist snapped the hook set and the battle was
on. This fish launched it self about 4 or 5 feet out of the water and dove
down like a freight train. The fish was bigger than any I had caught that
year, I would guesstimate between 6-8 pounds. Needless to say I'll never
know. I did not have my drag set and the fish popped free on it's second
launch. It wasn't until my buddy showed up that he pointed out the rear
treble on the lucky 13, it was bent straight back.Other fish have also
eluded me on occasion, including a nice LM at lake Okeechobee this past
April, another one I won't forget anytime soon. But if they didn't get away
every now and then I wouldn't have storys to share with the kids and I think
my desire to fish would be a little bit less than it is now.

I mean the bass you just know was a monster, and for whatever reason it got
away!
I ask because last night I had a dream about one I had get off that had to
be 10+ fishing big shiners in pads.He wrapped me and broke the Kahle hook

I
was using at the shank. That was in 1987 !
