I bet it's a lot cooler under the matted vegetation. Hottest Indiana days
of the year you can still pick them up working a frog across matted vegetation in the still water, near high noon. Check these pics out from a recent trip where I did just that: The spot - http://rofb.net/gallery//displayimage.php?pos=-30 The 3lb fish - http://rofb.net/gallery//displayimage.php?pos=-31 Good luck! -- Andrew Kidd http://www.amiasoft.com/ - Software for the rest of us! http://www.rofb.net/ - ROFB Newsgroup Home "Bob La Londe" wrote in message ... What do you do? We have a system of backwater lakes and the main river. Deep water in the lakes might be 8-12 feet with a few areas going a littel deeper. Ther are grass beds everywhere with some areas they are just scattered. Last time I went out surface temp was around 90 almost everywhere. -- ** FREE Fishing Lures ** Weekly drawing ** Public Fishing and Boating Forums ** www.YumaBassMan.com |
