Chas: Where, exactly, is Sherburne Lake? I live in Browning and haven't heard of it, yet. I'll have to see if I could make it. Right in your back yard, drive north past Babb, turn left towards the Many Glacier entrance to the park, and you'll drive along it for several miles just as you enter the park. You probably know Duck Lake which is also right there at Babb. Please come, I'd like to meet you. Oh, ok. I know that one.
There is also another lake, known as Pike lake. It's up north-west of Babb. Kinda back in the boonies a bit. Supposed to be real good for northerns. I'll see what I can do about coming on up. Would be good to meet you. I'm a beginner fly fisher/fly tier and have always wanted to catch pike on a fly. On Sat, 31 Jul 2004 08:03:09 GMT, Chas Wade wrote: "George G. It will be fun to help you get started on these beasts. I don't know about Pike Lake, but I'd like to find out. Chas:
Thanks for the offer, I'll try my best to take you up on it! The only problem I forsee - so far - is that I work for the Browning school district - I'm the Network Administrator - and it will be very tuff for me to take any time off that week. May have to try and have a busy day on Sun, the 5th. Where are you coming from? Could you recommend some pike fly patterns that I could attempt to try and tie? Any 'best' color combos? Thanks, George It will be fun to help you get started on these beasts. I don't know about Pike Lake, but I'd like to find out. |
