I liked Center Hill well enough and would fish it again. I just listed bodies of water that I
thought were exceptional, for size, numbers and scenery.

And these are also waters that I've personally fished. There are many that I've heard/read about,
but I'm not one to say too much (most of the time anyway unless I can speak from personal
experience.

For smallmouth, the Umqua river in Oregon. Friends who gished there report
hundred fish days floating the river. Not a lake, but good bass fishery.
For Bass lakes, have to add Clear Lake, Calif. Large, plentiful bass. I
could add Shasta, but I never do real well there. Mostly a spotted bass
fishery these days. Oroville for good numbers, but I always seem to 1-2#
fish. Most fish I ever got in a day was a spring day on Lake Don Pedro,
Calif. Maybe 150 bass and 1 bluegill, all the same size. About 9".
