what in your opinion would be the top twenty bass lakes in north America? I would bet that none of us here could give you TWENTY bass waters as "best in USA". I could give you the 20 best that I've fished, but then I'd be leaving out the CA Delta and Clear Lake CA, both of which should probably be on a list of the 20 best bass lakes. But how do I know for sure, since I've never fished either of them? I'm not a grass is always greener kind of guy, so I can only count the ones I've fished. Based on the lakes I've fished enough to call 'em great or not... 1) Champlain 2) Stick Marsh 3) Lake Erie (western basin) 4) Lake Ontario (east) 5) Lake Erie (Eastern Basin) 6) Toledo Bend 7) Eufaula (AL) 8) Falcon (TX) 9) St Lawrence River 10) Lake of the Woods 11) Santee 12) Lake Toho 13) Candlewood 14 through 20 ) 6 of about 50 under-1000-acre lakes around the northeast that I fish frequently. Kentucky Lake should probably be on that list somewhere, but most of the time that I spent on it was during it's "off period" in the early 80s. It was decent then, but nothing like it is now though, from what I hear. RichZ© www.richz.com/fishing |
