dropshotting.

I think I've had a right to stay on your case since the day you threatened
me legally.

Remember that?

Standard advice. wet the line before cinching the knot, make sure not to
twist the loop before you pass the hook through it, make sure the loop

comes
completely over the eye and doesn't get caught in the notch where the end

of
the hook wire meets the shank, etc.

I find that last little tidbit to be great advice Rich. When I moved into
superlines and discovered and started using the Palomar, I broke off a
couple of hooks due to that very thing, the line (loop) got hung in the
notch of the hook eye, I didn't notice it, and it will fray/nick and
everntually break off right at that point.

Needless to say, my *very next* pair of polarized shades were also
prescription shades, so I could better see that my knot was in order prior
to using it. Oh, and very definitely lube the line/knot prior to cinching it
down. Luckily, most of today's lines are relatively taste free and a little
bit o spit works just fine for me.

That's part of the problem I fixed with the new hook,, no eye notch
(where wire is bent into the other side) to cut the line

I hear ya on the prescription sunglasses. Last year I had to start
bifocals, and wasn't sure how I'd like 'em. I only got my indoor
clear pair with that type of lens. My polarized prescription
sunglasses are still just for distance, so I have trouble with retying
outside. Oh, well... next pair will be bifocals for me, too.

I have had prescription bifocal sunglasses for several years - expensive, but
worth it.
