Default the basics of fishing for bass (plastic worms)

Im new to bass fishing. I know quite a few ways to rig the plastic
worm but I don't really know how to fish the worm. I like the texas
and carolina with the occasional floating worm rig. also im looking
for a few lures that are easy for a begginer to fish. thanks mike.

Welcome to the world of bass fishing. I was also new to it when I moved from
Nevada to Illinois.
I fish for largemouth bass here. Not many smallies around. When I use a
plastic worm I fish it texas rigged. To fish the worm I just cast it out, let
it settle to the bottom and just jig it in. Jig it like three times and let it
settle back to the bottom and wait for a bite. Keep doing the same till it is
reeled in. My favorite rig is the Kalin`s 5" grub....smoke colored with black
dots. I fish it the same way. Bass love it. As for a lure for a beginner I
would suggest a spinnerbait lure. One can cast it around and get action.
Myself though have caught bigger fish on the grub.
Dan. Do you mind if I send you a pic I caught on the grub?
