That's fine with me! I was planning on the Fuji's, and knew they were made
way over yonder somewhere. That was the SiC guides... right? LOL "Steve @ OutdoorFrontiers" wrote in message ... "Charles B. Summers" (Comcast) wrote in message ... Pop! Oh well... at least I'm getting a Huber rod that I can be sure was made in the USA. Right? Blank made right here in Wisconsin. Unfortunately, I like Fuji guides and reel seats, but I do what I can to keep the $$$ right here in the US of A. -- Steve @ OutdoorFrontiers http://www.outdoorfrontiers.com G & S Guide Service http://www.herefishyfishy.com |

snip .... most Americans don't want to pay quality prices for a quality product. snip Charles, I've never been accused of being "most Americans". I'm as cheap as they come, it's almost a game with me to find the best prices, but I DO compare apples to apples, and take quality into account when buying. When a cheap product is all I need, that's all I buy, but when I'm looking for a high quality product, I know I'm going to pay more. To use your words, I'm willing to pay "quality" price for a quality product. What I won't pay is a highly inflated price for a quality product. When I find an overseas product that IS the same or better quality than I can find made in the U.S., and the overseas product is a large percentage cheaper, I buy it. I don't (and won't ever) feel that I have let down that American producer. On the contrary, that producer has let ME down. Henry |
