sometimes, the walk is the best fishing you'll ever remember...

The fishing was ridiculous. I caught cutthroat up to 16" (averaging maybe 14") on nearly every cast. I must have caught 30 fish in an hour. It didn't matter what fly I used (I used purple buggers and black beetle dries). Presentation was irrelevant. The fish were literally fighting over the fly right at my feet. Since there was absolutely no skill required it soon got boring, but it was an experience. |
