Great! Would you like to trade "sick and ****ing tired" subjects? I'll pick
one and you won't ever mention that subject again and you pick one that I'll
never mention again. Deal?

I don't recall ever perpetuating a falsehood about you Dan'l, but
if you can come up with one and if you're as sick and ****ing tired
of that lie as I am about the lie you tell about fall fishing in
the Rockies, you've got yourself a deal.

Well, let's go back...way back... in the dark, deep mists of time and recall
these, for example.....

"As for having good dry fly fishing on the
Henry's Fork that week, that's as big a lie as the whopper you
and Willi keep repeating about me."

Untrue..I caught more fish on dries at the HF clave than I have at several
other claves. You don't know. You weren't there.

"Still bitter about the only 'Clave in roff history noted for its
lack of camaraderie and good fishing"

Untrue an untrue. Never was, never will be bitter. Absolutely nothing to be
bitter about. It was a great clave and I enjoyed it immensely.

Also, there have been other claves with more whining about "lack of
camaraderie" than the HF. Consider Black Cat (or some such personage) and
the whining about the first SJ Clave. Also the whining about the Ennis clave
and the lack of social participation by some folks from NC. Also, there were
a couple of louts that were/weren't...did/didn't kick each other's ass at a
SJ Clave...great camaraderie that.

And those are just three examples from yesterday.

Once again, your recall doesn't coincide with the contemporaneous
accounts posted here to roff.

"Still bitter about the only 'Clave in roff history noted for its

Untrue an untrue....

TWEET !!! 15 yards and loss of down for misquoting. That was a
rhetorical QUESTION you misquoted as a statement. The real
question was "Why do you insist on perpetuating the same old,
tired lie every time September rolls around ?" Willi's excuse
was "humor", what's yours ?

Near as I recall, only one person (not you) ever had a problem with a
western Clave lacking camaraderie. It certainly wasn't Danl.

If incorrect, please correct me. URLs are not necessary. I'll take
your word for it.

I don´t know anything at all about hatches in the Rockies, more´s the

pity,
but I do know that this group deteriorates more with every passing

insult
and bitterness that is published here. Any "outsider", and most

"insiders"
reading this stuff would have to be crazy to want to have any part of

it.

The only thing that really puzzles me, is, what is the point of it

all?
Is
there any point at all?

Once upon a time, I laboured under the quite obviously massive
misapprehension that anglers were gentlemen. This group has certainly
taught me the error of my ways.

The insults, and the flames, and all the other similar stuff here is

bad
enough, but what eventually simply wears one out, even just reading

the
stuff, is that it is mostly silly and boring, and has virtually

nothing
to
do with fishing, or with gentlemen either.

Most unfortunate, and extremely depressing to boot.

i agree. it's more difficult, day by day. the bitterness is

becoming
overwhelming. the disputes, long ago, seemed to be an invitation to
relatively respectful intellectual contests. but since 40 and wolfgang

have
sworn to bilious confrontations until the end of time, a sort of gloom

has
settled over the place, for me.

this place becomes more boring every day, for me.

You can make it stop.......well, half of it. Just say the word.

On second thought, I guess you have.

Done.

I hope, for your sake, but most certainly not for mine, that the door
didn't hit you in the butt on the way out.

Well, if you consider Western Sweden to count, I'm pretty sure there was no
camaraderie between Jarmo and the mosquitoes.
