No. Never thought of it.

I'd assume it'd just make him more eager to crawl into the junction
box and nibble. You seem to be implying that it's not tasty to them?

I don't really know. I thought at first about something
like a hot sauce, but that would wash off very quickly,
so oil seemed like a better option. Maybe you could
stir in some cayenne pepper :-)
