How heavy?

knock it on the head, freeze it, and weigh it when you have a few...!

I agree - dimensions are a bit odd but -if- it was a roach somewhere
between
3/4 and 1 1/4 lb

But whatever it was, go and do it again ;-)

Hint: If you have nothing else you have some fishing line. Next time you
need to know exactly how long a fish is just cut off a bit to the same
length and stow it carefully 'til you get to a ruler.

So whatever it was, you'll have to go and do it again** ;-)
