Try tying your self a bottom rig. Bait it with just about anything from
worms, market shrimp or some commercial produce bait. Catfish are
scavengers and will eat anything. They prefer the bottom but will come up
to the surface to get food.

Just be careful when taking them off the hook the pectoral fins are very
sharp and pointy.
