I can accept that for a short stretch when it mattered the Sox were
better and live with being wrong on the expectations, but do the
Cards have to do a poor imitation of the Chicago Cubs in three
straight games?

I just listened to an interview with Jeff Suppan, who was in the
locker room surrounded by reporters. Classy guy, and obviously pretty
upset. Over and over again, all he could say was that he "screwed the
play up". He must have said it ten times.

I think he probably said that because he screwed the play up. ;-) Hey, ALL of
us screw up at one time or another. Suppan just picked the wrong time. I don't
*think* that one play cost them the game, but we'll never know.
