Well said, Frank.

Thank you, and thanks to all the other veterans and active military here on
roff, and across the globe.

Thanks to ALL the other veterans and active military ? Or just the ones
from the US of A ?

Leave it to the good old USA to turn Armistice Day, a worldwide
celebration of global peace, into something else entirely.

I noticed that Google once again has shunned the veterans. They do other
holidays/rememberances, but refuse to recognize Veterans (Armistice) Day.

Obviously part of the vast left-wing conspiracy.

There's a left-wing conspiracy? I didn't know that.

In Canada, and I think all of the Commonwealth countries, it is called
Remembrance Day, and is a day to reflect on the sacrifices of those
killed in all wars and conflicts.

The majority of whom, it is worth remembering, never wore anyone's
uniform.

In the US we honor dead US veterans on Memorial Day, nee Decoration
Day, the last Monday in May. Armistice Day was changed to Veterans
Day to honor all US veterans living and dead.
