Nothing wrong with fishing for Carp. They are an excellent fighting fish.

Yep,, but I'm serious about people using dead carp for fertilizer in
their gardens, where I come from you are required to remove any carp
caught from the water,, few people are so desperate for fish that they
actually will eat them, so they throw them (bury them) in the their gardens.

Carp are non native to the waters in the US and can and do ruin fisheries.


I agree they can be a blast on light tackle, and since they will bite in
the hottest weather, when everything else won't, I have fished for them,
but most are caught by accident when targeting catfish
