Update on Garmin Service
Well, I received my G162 back today with a letter stating that the unit was
working perfectly for them, and for me to check my battery connections. I haven't *rechecked* them today, but I'll check again when I hook it back up. But, when I unpackaged the unit, Garmin had graciously replaced the front plastic cover and installed new control buttons.
