They do that to try to fill all the events first. You should have a waiting
list of individual events later. "Shawn" wrote in message ... I'm kind of ticked right now at BASS. I just went online to register as a non-boater in the new ESPN Outdoors Bassmaster Series. I wanted to register for the Lake Champlain tournament on August 7, 2005, but it said that Bassmaster was only accepting registrations for the whole regional package, which is 5 tournaments. I think the way they advertise it is very misleading. My last 3 issues of Bassmaster magazine has had double-page advertisements announcing this new series, but nowhere in that ad does it say you cannot register for single tournments and must register for the regional "package". I'm new to tournament fishing, and I contemplated for weeks about whether to try my hand in this series on my local lake and my wife finally convinced me to give it a try. Then, I find out that I can't even do that. I was excited to see my local lake being part of the tournament series. But, I don't have the time or the money to travel to Maryland and 3 locations in New York. I only wanted to fish Lake Champlain. Does anyone know why Bassmasters is forcing you to fish all 5 tournaments ? Shawn |
