Does anyone know if there has been a statement issued yet about (Angler
X's) disqualification a couple of weeks ago on the FLW Tour?

I assume you are talking about Tony Christian - don't know where that angler x
garbage started. There are an unreal number of rumors, all claimed to be first
hand, and most conflicting with others, but FLW and Tony have not made a
statement.

JMHO. I'm sure after the first time they decided to watch him wiht a
careful eye and probbably warned him that even the least infraction would DQ
him. He probably made some minor and insignificant infraction and they are
afraid to let it be known because they would come under fire for DQing an
angler for such a minor thing.

Consider it like being on probation. Even a minor mistake gets you in twice
as much trouble if do soemthing wrong while on probation. I reach this
conclusion, because if it had been something major he would have been kicked
out of the series, not just DQed from a single tournament.

Tony may not be allowed to talk about it as part of the agreement and
punishment.

Bob, where do you see that he's still on the Tour? I can't find any list of
participants in the next event at Old Hickory Lake...

Ronnie, it was me that started the "Angler X" thing. There are enough
rumors flying around with his real name attached, all from clueless
idiots...

Ronnie, it was me that started the "Angler X" thing.

The first time I saw the Angler X thing was on Bass Fising Home Page - some of
the "folks" there were posting things that they were afraid they would get sued
for if they used a name. Like using Angler X would help.

I have no idea what happened with Tony, and no one else does, either - except
FLW and him. An editor at Georgia Outdoor News spend a couple of days on the
phone and could not get anything sensible enough to print. Tony would not
comment and neither would anyone at FLW. Tony's co-anglers called had nothing
but good things to say about fishing with him, contrary to some rumors. And NO
ONE had first hand info about anything.

Maybe someday we will find out.

Hey Ronnie, actually I meant no disrespect for calling Tony "Angler X".
I was like many who felt maybe name dropping was the wrong thing. But,
I hope all the "rumors" are false for TC's sake. Gotta pull a Georgia
boy.

Thats ok, I just got fed up with the garbage at the other forum where I no
longer go.

Interesting to note on the FLW site Tony was given points for both the FL and
LA tournaments - he was disqualified for the second day in each but his first
day catches gave him points in both. So I guess he was not disqualified from
the tournament, just the second day's catch was disqualified.
