Ocean temps are still near 50F, striped bass (marone saxitalis) have been hitting and are continueing their migration down the coast. Bluefish (Pomatomus saltatrix) have just recently pulled out. Trout? yes, there are hitting nicely, both wild and stocked, browns and bows mostly. I'm in search of searuns, though admitedly have not had success. The runs in NJ are not very prolific. Things will slow down after next week, both due to the holidays and dropping temps. |
