Whew! Got Lucky!!!
There are sources for free software to just store and enter waypoints on your PC
for synchronizing. G7toWIN is one example. Dan The Citizen Fisherman wrote: I've had a Garmin 12 for several years. I added a car lighter adapter so I could leave it on all day and not worry about batteries. I also picked up the MapSource Waterway & Lights software. It's $100, but it let's you save waypoints and routes, as well as plot routes on the map. My setup is not nearly as fancy as some of the newer rigs, but it sure works for me.
