...for those who will be away from home over the holidays until after the
1st Jan. I have decided to endure another GFS so this is a heads up if
your
planning on signing up this year. "official" sign up starts on Jan 1st,
but
I'll take names starting now for the benefit of those who won't be near a
PC to signup on the 1st. Always the reminder...don't sign up unless you're
reasonably sure you can complete your ties for the swap. This will be
repeated again on New Years Day but, the signup ends on Jan 15, and the
flies must be in to me by NLT Feb.15. This year I am moving and that will
start in late Feb so I won't have time to deal with the laggards. Get the
picture? Ah, I love the smell of napalm in the morning!

I'd like to participate, but I'd like to know what the "rules" are and so
forth, and wtf GFS means )

Are there any topics regarding flies? You know, do we all have to tie
"nymphs" this(next) year, or can we tie whatever we want?

....no topics on what flies to tie, ever.(however, shark flies would be
frowned on, too expensive to mail) :-) Other fly swaps during the year
generally are "themed" swaps. Mine is supposed to be a"fun" swap to relieve
cabin fever. Just tie whatever moves you.

...yes, Jan 15 is the sign-up cut off date, you will know then. Then you
have 30 days to tie and get them in to me.

YOSM GFS2005

Do I have to sign up, or have you added me to the GFS list of 2005 ?

but how many are we looking at?

....good to hear from you Ron, it took GFS2005 to smoke you out eh? :-)
I really don't have a clue as to how many will sign up, but based on past
swaps, you can look for anywhere from 35 to 45...Jan 15 will tell the tale.
Stay with us if you can.
