I grew up on Stones River in Halls Hill, Tennessee...the feeder for
Percy Priest Lake. The memories of my gandfather and me fishing that
river at the old mill pond are my fondest! My love for fishing started
then, and has never faded. Thanks for the memories!

No, I think it was either the Allsup or Wrights mill, not sure. It was
torn down years ago, and the mill dam is pretty much gone. I went
through there last year, but didn't get to fish any. I sold 40 acres on
the Stones River many years ago....wish I had of kept it now.

Nice Pics!

Everything that I've ever seen regarding the name states "Stones River".
Never heard of it called anything else.

BTW, there is an ageless and ongoing debate between locals about
whether it's "Stone", "Stones", or "Stone's" River--there are roadside
marker signs with all 3 variants!

Well I asked mom, and she said it was just called the old Halls Hill
Mill, but at one time the Wrights owned it, so mght have been called
that at one time. I showed her the picture you took Guy, and she wanted
a copy if you didn't mind. If it's o.k. I'll print it out?
Thanks,
John
