![]() "Pat_RI" wrote in message news:ndkDd.7031$Tf5.6980@lakeread03... I have been using a lower end reel for the last few years now I am at the point where I would like to use a quality spinning reel. I am looking at the Quantum Energy PTi spinning reel just wondering if anyone has an opinion on this reel or would like to recommend another model. Thanks ahead for any help. I have not had good luck with longevity using Quantum reels. However that was a while ago and I'm sure that they've changed the design of reels, hopefully for the better. A spinning reel that I have had good luck with is the Shimano Sahara and Stradic reels. The Saharas I own have been beaten and abused for years now and they still perform flawlessly. The Stradics are a great reel, smooth and lightweight, but they are a somewhat pricier reel. -- Steve @ OutdoorFrontiers http://www.outdoorfrontiers.com G & S Guide Service and Custom Rods http://www.herefishyfishy.com |
