Default Good pike day ticket on Thames?

Hi all,

Looking for a good place for dead baits and lures on the thames, prefer a
day ticket or free venue, anyone got any ideas?

Thanks

Kyle

Hi Kyle,

Check out the Weir Pools at Sutton Courtenay, info available on my web pages
below.
My best this year is 18lb, but I'm told a 31lb was had back in October.
Day permits available from both fishing shops in Didcot.

Kyle,

Anywhere below Staines bridge is free fishing so that gives you plenty
to try.

At this time of year when the river is pushing through a bit, try to
find the prey fish and the pike won't be a million miles away. I'd
suggest snaggy and slack areas, the insides of large bends and best of
all the lock cuts! Don't worry about the 'No Fishing' signs on the
lock cuts - these are only operational during the summer. Have a chat
with the lock keeper if your unsure but if I remember correctly you
are allowed to fish them from November to Feb.

Good luck!
