(I've often wondered whether the knotless have less tendency toward knot failure ;-) Advantages: you can build your own custom tapers, lengths etc. However, like purchasing them, you get what you pay for, in the case of rolling your own you pay in pay in time. Hybrids are pretty good: you can recycle your knotless by adding heavier butt material and new tippet sections, in effect 3 section leader with a knotless taper. Steve |
