Great bunch of shots Chas, good job. A few observations:
With the exception of Willi and Steve, you western guys all seem to
run
about half my age, and better looking than these east coast old farts.

And you are really alot younger than I had imagined.

Thanks Frank, but I have to ask why, you think you weren't invited?

Granted, there is a paucity of Brim on the Juan, but we'd all enjoy
teaching you about fishing with microscopic flies for oversized
rainbows and even browns. It turns out there is a lake in the vacinity
that's around 70 degrees all winter because of a power plant, and it's
supposed to have bass. Show up next year and we'll give you a side
trip there just so you'll feel at home.

And BTW, Frank, Chas is only slightly younger than me, so **** you. :-)

Cool Chas, just kiddin' about the invite part..I'm fairly sure I would be
welcome with you guys. But to tell the truth, without some guidance I would
be totally lost on what to tie on my tippet...don't think those trout would
like my bluegill poppers. :-) Nevertheless I'd like to give it a shot.
From the shots it looks like ya'll are armed with 9 footers, probably 5
wt?? I ain't gittin' any younger and I do want to attend one of your
claves.

We used anything from 6wt which I thoug a bit heave to 3wt which
everyone else thought was light. The key is to have a soft enough rod
to not break off the fish on a 5x tippet. I must admit that even my
Sage LL series 3wt was strong enough for me to break off a big brown
twice on the strike. Overeager is probably an understatement.

As for what flies to use, Bruiser has more of the right stuff than any
fly shop and is the most generous guy I've run into about sharing them.

The only technical reasons not to come is that you're unable to wade,
or you can't get there. I suppose the Juan would be a poor choice for
someone who hasn't learned to cast 30 feet yet, though Willi insists,
and demonstrates, that a 15 foot cast can produce a lot of fish.
