I've been very tempted to respond to this thread but this e-mail
finally pulled me in.
Rodney - I don't know you, and I don't know anything about your
product. To be honest, I thought that some of the other guys might've
been a little harsh in their reaction to it. However, anyone that would
post an e-mail like this (and through the power of google - will be
archived for the world to see 'til the end of the internet as we know
it) deserves no one's respect, and no one's business.
If anyone ever asks me about your products, I will tell them that they
should look up this thread via googlegroups and decide if this is the
kind of person they want to give money to.

So you're declining my challenge, correct?

You would be unarmed,

What would that really prove, I out fished a fool? big deal.

You have already been made the fool calling my other stuff snake oil,
and they are selling like crazy, and catching fish like crazy, you said
they were worthless. Hell my hook was the "only" hook listed in Bass
Pro's spring flier. Man I'm glad I didn't take your advice, and just
forgot it, cause it was just a bent hook. You keep giving advice like
that and your going to go far in this industry

I've issued an open challenge to Rodney, to outfish an amateur like me.
Wanna bet he avoids me?

LMAO

ANY OF THE ROFB EVENTS. I've tried that approach to no avail...

Why? Because he knows as well as we do that he is nothing but

marketing...
and a pretty bad example of that too!

He don't care about little ole anglers such as ourselves... he's got

Bill,
Orlando, Ray and the rest of them to stroke his fur.

and prove us all wrong. I don't care if it is Wisconsin, Penn., New
York, Florida, Tenn. I just don't care. Just stop talking and prove
it against one of us.

Now that's funny

What would that gain me ?

I've taken on real pro's, Out door writers, TV producers and real

CEO's
of lure companies. I've got the top names in fishing that it has been
proved to. The only reason it has not already taken over, is due to

the
way it was marketed,, few would pay 11 dollars for three of them.

Look, y'all don't believe Bill Dance, Al Linder, Ray Scott, Hank

Parker,
Bassmaster's, Field and Stream, Modern Marvels, and all the other
magizines, or TV shows, so why would anyone give y'all any credit ?

Hell, I don't care if y'all think it's the "best" soft plastic rigging,

I
just can't have you putting on news groups it is a gimmick, or snake

oil,
and not defend it, as many search the Internet on new products, so you
put it down, I will tell the truth afterwards. Stop putting it down and

I
stop telling people the truth (on this group).

Exactly, you know how bad it would hurt your product when it was exposed
for what it is. I guarantee you wouldn't beat me out of my boat. I'll
give you the bow and the trolling motor. Hell, I won't fish for the

first
hour. You think name dropping means anything to anyone here????? Any

one
of those guys would endorse your rig if paid enough, that is what they

do
for a living.
Prove it on the water, that is all I am saying. I don't want to hear

all
these names you keep brining up. I have been watching them since I was

a
little kid. I KNOW THEY KNOW HOW TO FISH. It means absolutely nothing
that they can catch fish on your rig. Most of those guys can catch fish
on almost any rig in certain circumstances. It still doesn't back up

your
claims. Bring it on Rodney!

Chris

:-)..........Charles, it is pretty much wishful thinking on my part. It
is just insulting that someone can think that 14+ years of learning on
my part can all be thrown out the window because of a rubberband.

Well, I better get back to work.

Well, a few observations of my own. First Rodney didn't post
an email, he posted to a Usenet newsgroup. Second, it's not
necessarily the case that his post has to be archived forever.
A lot of people use the X-noarchive option on their posts and
Google respects it.

And lastly Rodney in general. You know, ****ing contests and
trading insults aside, almost everybody who makes their living
from their "inventions" is a shameless, some would say obnoxious,
self-promoter. I don't see a whole lot of difference between
Rodney and Roland Martin except for the ****ing contests and
trading insults here on rofb.

Anyway, there's my two cents and it's worth at least half that. ;-)

It amazes me that you guys keep feeding this guy! I sit here day after day
convinced Rodney could not sell sno-cones in hell. There is an old saying,
" It is better to be thought a fool, than to open one's mouth and remove all
doubt" Another is " If the shoe fits wear it!"

We just got the "Pocket fisherman" up here last year, with the

one
rig it would be a jig with some hair or plastic on it. I'm too old to
give
a crap about some tosser sellin' fishin' gear, what was he, a Fuller Brush
man? I'm well enough to know BS when I see it! And thanks for askin" !
I
do know that marketing is about catching fish! I think he knows it too!

But there are plenty of us out here that don't try to hide behind
crutches like that. We say what we mean and don't mind that people can
read the archives. We also quote those other's posts, so they WILL live
on forever.

I didn't mean to suggest that Rodney doesn't allow his
posts to be archived. In fact, a quick check of Google
shows that Rodney's most recent posts will live on in
Google perpetuity. I was just trying to make the point
that perhaps Rodney's contributions to the fishing tackle
industry shouldn't be judged solely on his abysmal lack
of Usenet social skills on rofb.

In other words someone could blast your day job and how you do it on
this news group and you would never respond or defend yourself ?

I spend hundreds of hours working and testing my tackle, when some one
tells the "world" that it's all B.S. without even testing it,, yes I get
mad as hell. I could care less what he personally thinks about my stuff,
but acting as some kind of expert, and then bashing it

At one point on this group I offered "free" stuff
Warren came on here and told everyone that sent for it was a fool.

What the hell was he "afraid" of ? He was afraid that he would loose his
credibility.

I'm not here trying to sell anything, I'm here trying to inform people
of new ways to fish, more productive ways, ways that no one on here
knows how to do, and that is the big killer for Warren, he can't figure
out how my stuff works, and if he has not used it it and approves it,
then no one on the board should use it.

I could easily explain "How" I use these rigs to catch fish, but way
back when I was trying to do that, I was called a spammer. I was
forbidden by the elite few here from discussing catching fish with them,
as each time I did I was spamming. I have found out it is "who" you are,
not what your pushing, that is important to this group.

It's OK to flame anyone here, but don't let them defend themselves
