Hello, Does anybody recognize this old bait casting reel?
It's 2 3/8" across, 2 1/4" diameterbrown bakelite? sides and ivory colored bakelite handle grips with ath sane ivory colored bakelite spool center. The level wind, handle and rod connection piece are crome. The only writing on it is "MADE IN USA" stamped on the underside of the rod connection piece. The line on it is a 2 stran twisted linen. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you. http://harbor.ptd.net/bait1.jpg http://harbor.ptd.net/bait2.jpg http://harbor.ptd.net/bait3.jpg http://harbor.ptd.net/bait4.jpg |

It looks like an old Shakespeare reel, probably around 1930s era. If it still
works, you could find an old 4 foot fiberglass baitcasting pole and go trolling for trout on the lake with it! |
