Default Ivan's track?

Let me guess, Ivan'll be arriving in NY state just in time for my 2-dayer
this weekend on the Hudson, right?

Nope... it will likely linger over the Gulf and southern states for awhile
longer. Take a look at the satellite photo he

My first thought when I saw that was, "I wonder if I could flip a worm right
down in that little hole.... I bet the fish are really biting there!"

Is that this weekend? If so, you know where to fish from the practice time
you put in two years ago. It's September on the Hudson. Every yard you get
away from the point and barges in front of the marina in Port Ewen is a
yard in the wrong direction.

Exactly my plan Rich, I just hope I can get to my "sweet spot" before anyone
else. I found a boat position where I can cast to 3 wrecks w/o moving.
Thanks again for turning me on to that spot. When I stayed with Randy Romig
last month up there he told me he almost won a Top 150 up there on those
wrecks.

I've been hearing about some other wrecks up there, in a small cove
somewhere. Guess I'll have to dig around this week to find em lol. Any
chance of you being up there this weekend?

Nah, I'll be at Champlain.

1st cove north of the Kingston Bridge on the West side. Never been that
great of a spot though. But the one you're probably hearing about is the
wreck in the chestnut bed up behind rattlesnake island just north of
Coxsackie. It's about a 13 mile run north of Dutchman's Landing. I've had
some really good days in Sept/Oct on the wreck and the seawall, as well as
the outside sewall on the south end of rattlesnake. But it's still nothing
compared to what goes on at the other spot as far as the number of quality
fish that will use it over the next month or so.

Good luck in that..I was hoping to make it(but looking at my schedule this
week, it's probably better I didn't).

I don't think it will be that far that fast Warren. Can't say that it'll be
sunny, but that's a lot of ground for a 9mph hurricane to cover from its
current position.

I figure we'll (NC) be hit on some by Ivan this weekend, hopefully the rain
bands won't reach all the way up to your tourney until well after the final
weigh-in if it's Sunday.

Best of luck to you, regardless.
