line twist

Is there a brand of line with zero line twist problems. I use a swivel but the
lure hangs up on the swivel on casting. The problem is exacerbated when you are
night fishing. I found that power pro has some twisting problems. Is there a
braided line that solves this problem. Thanks

You need to go back to fishing preschool and figure it out.

I can guaranty that the line is not your problem.

You are a moron, but for other people's benefit, try this -- if you are
using a spinning reel, close the bail by hand. Do not turn the crank to
close the bail. This helps tremendously.

You can permanently stop all line twist by cutting your line in 1/4" pieces.

Close bail by hand.
Lift rod to take up slack before retrieving.
Use a swivel for spoons and inline spinners.
Set drag appropriately.
Stop wending when drag is spinning.
Learn to back wind to reduce twist from drag slip.
Rig baits carefully to prevent spiraling during retrieve.

To remove line twist.

1.
Tie a good ball bearing swivel to a post or other fixed object. Hook end of
line to swivel. Back up with rod a hundred feet or so. Bring line tight
and pull gently but firmly

2.
Trail a hundred feet of line with nothing tied on the end behind your boat
when moving.

Sampo BallBearing Line (tm) is what you need. I love the stuff for the
no-twist characteristics, but it sinks like a stone. It will be out next
year in Ti finish, start saving now!

I have learned to "live" with it.

Line does not twist itself. Either the lure/technique (inline spinner/drop
shot/soft jerkbait/tube) imparts twist, or the equipment (spinning reel
with loose drag, binding bail, etc.), or the idiot holding the rod (you)
puts the twist in the line. I'm betting on all three in this case, but
mostly the last.
