Default reel rack

They sell rod racks but i've never seen reel racks. I was thinking of making
one. I thought of sandwiching vertical dowel pieces between two flat parallel
boards. The dowel would have rings to hold the reels. The problem is what to
use for rings. In the stores i noticed they use the handle end of rods inserted
into pvc pieces which are attached to a vertical surface. It's cabin fever time
and i'm reorganizing my fishing room for the umpteen time (rotflmao).

It is a good idea but o rings may not be durable enough. On second thought i
could put a whole bunch on before i assemble the unit (just in case). Thanks
this newsgroup works for me.

It apears that some anglers have 40 or more rods. I don't know if that implies
that you also have 40 or more reels. I'm curious as to where you store the
reels (for handy access) when they are not on the rods

Ya know, a reel isn't much good without a rod, and a rod isn't much good
without a reel. I don't think many people would have large amounts of
either without being paired with the other. Yeah, maybe a few where you
decide to try different pairings, but I don't see having more than say,
1/10 of the reels you own not being paired with a rod.
