Whoa....
You don't want a 3 ~ 4 segmented Surf Rod. I have a 12' ultra light and it is a two piece. Problems occur at the joint. A pole that is 10' broken down to 3.33' to 2' per segment would create even more problems due to the increased number of joints. The only 3 piece surf rods I have come across are 15' rods. I would suggest one 10', 2 segment rod and a 5' case. Either that or rent a rod when you get there. -- Dave "Bikefixr" wrote in message ... | Going to hawaii. House on beach w/reef.
