![]() Hi Would like to know of some baitcasters that have a clicking feature when the line is being pulled by a fish. Thanks |

Haven't seen anything like that since I inherited my grandads old level wind
reel. That thing is a monster to cast too. Looking at that, and then watching an old show one late night on TV leads me to believe that us modern anglers have it too easy. I would feel bad about complaining of my equipment these days... LOL -- Charles B. Summers Secret Weapon Lures http://www.secretweaponlures.com "QUAKEnSHAKE" wrote in message ... How can the reel make longer casts and be quieter with the levelwind
engaged during the cast? You have more parts moving then.. |

![]() I saw the Ambassadeur C4 5600 does seem like a good reel. I didnt see any Brownings. Going to go to a Gander Mountain today and look at what they have. They accept Dick's coupon. Thanks for the recommendations. |

My best guess on this is when you start to use bigger baitcaster reels with wider spools and thicker higher test line there comes a point where more drag is caused by the line going out at an angle across a non moving line guide then is caused by the extra moving parts needed to keep the guide moving. The 5601 C4 holds a bit of line (12 x 205) Perhaps reels of this size and bigger start to work better if the line guide moves on the casts. Later, DC -- Dale Colemam |

I don't think the dis-engaging levelwinder is a disadvantage or a
advantage, I use the smaller Abu 4600 models, they seem to cast as well as the other Abu's I have with disengaging levelwinders. I have one C3 that has two bearings added to the levelwinder and it does make a difference... |

I bought the Ambassadeur C4 5600. $56 I feel it'll be just right for
its intended purpose. |
