All swap flies that I had went out today (19 parcels)..2 tiers flamed out
on us so you should get 19 flies each. Just FYI for U.S. folks..there were some issues with Priority Mail stamps..the PO would not accept PM stamps with a date on them, so I ponied up another $3.85 for each one. USPS sez PM stamps with a date on them cannot be used past that date. This will be my farewell gift to youse guys since this will be the last swap that I host. This is NOT sour grapes, let me hasten to add...it's just that now that I'm single again I plan to spend my winters south, WAY south. (can you spell Guadalajara..Melaque Beach..Manzanillo?) I used to take my sailboat to Mexico and sail the winters away, sounds like an even better idea now. It's been fun these past 5 yrs doing this, I hope someone carries this on. (you listening Timmaay?) ;-) BTW Mu, Wayno got your extra flies as requested. Any extra flies I'm gonna keep and see that my grandson gets them. If you really want your extras returned, send me a SASE with a request for same. Frank Church |

Frank Church Frank; A great big THANK YOU from all of us that have participated in these Great Flyswaps these last few years. Definitely one of the best parts of the winter for me. (As an aside..can you tell I freaking *hate* winter??) Drop me a line when you're up this way fishing the Big Kenny..if I'm here in Maine (hitting Montana for a couple of weeks this summer) I'd love to wet a line with you. Thanks again for all your hard work..and enjoy your southbound vacations. Dave M |

Mu ....thanks Mu, I don't know how blessed you are, but I had fun along the way too. Literally thousands of neat flies passed thru my grimy mitts, and I got to communicate with some first class folks. (which raises the question..do first class folks tie, or does the tying make them first class, or, maybe it's just me sniffing all that head cement?) Frank the sniffer |

Have fun down south and if you get up here some Summer and want to take on the smallies of the Shenandoah or Potomac, you know how to reach me. It's essentially first class handling for parcels. I paid about $1.50 to mail the pack to you first class, and added a little extra to the SASE in case the returned flies were a little heavier than mine. There was no date stamp. In any case, thanks for running the swap. Scott |
