Warren I have never met you but I know that your fishing spirit and love for
our sport is who you are.I know it must be driving you crazy. Here is what will happen though.I predict you to fish that big tournament thats keeping you from the MTC and win it going away. Just a thought. ![]() "Heavy" wrote in message oups.com... You made me smile Mr, thanks! Yea, in thinking about it I realize that this
is the longest I've gone without fishing in over 30 years, & I'm not 40 yet! Yesterday was a fabulous day; I spent the perfect weather with a shovel in my hand, digging a 40' trench on my property to help dry-out my new backyard. Today I can barely move, I hurt everywhere! After about 8 hours of digging & moving dirt my daughter asked me to play with her. "What a great idea!" I said. I grabbed her & the wife & we took a ride to a lake near our new house. Just took a walk. Fish were jumping everywhere. It was nice just being near the water, even if I wasn't on it. Hope your lines are tight! Hope your lines are tight! I've always thought that part of getting in shape for the fishing season is flexing our muscles with all the other things that need done during the spring. And I'm not necessarily talking about the yardwork or spring cleaning or fix em' up jobs that get done...but something more like this: Since my boat is in the shop (getting the aerators and biilge pump replaced along with some electrical stuff), I noticed that my reels needed some fresh line and my rods needed a good wiping. Heck, I even found time to fiddle around straightening out my crankbait boxes and jig box...: Last week, I found a good looking spot in a plowed up field overlooking a creek that produced 2 really nice arrowheads...: This morning I woke up and picked up 900 pounds of pea gravel and distributed it on my lakefront so those big fat bluegills will have a nice and comfortable place to move in the next few weeks...: And I noticed the mayflowers are starting to spread out...so that means I need to get my 2 year old out and show him what a mushroom patch looks like...: -- Dwayne E. Yall are just too far north. Thru March 31 I had fished 17 days and
landed 51 keepers and 8 throwbacks. In April so far I have fished 8 days - just got back from five days at our Top Six - pitiful this year, 6 bass weighing 11 pounds in two days. Maybe both of you can catch up when it warms up there! Charles B. Summers wrote: If it's any consolation... I've only been three times, and only caught three fish. That was for three months, not one. January - March. I did manage to win two club tournaments and place in the top five in three more of the six I fished. |
