Default This Might Be Old News

Pardon me if this has been discussed; been away for a while.

Has anybody had experience with the REC Recoil guides? If not, go to
www.rec.com and check them out. My buddy Ryan at Waterloo build a spinning
rod for me with the guides on a SCV 6ft8in MXF St. Croix blank. He shipped
it in 3000 pound PVC, and UPS still managed to *buckle* the pipe. The rod,
of course, shattered.

So, now, he's building me another one, but this time I added and REC
Aluminum reel seat and what they call a thumbtack.

BTW, I have no affiliation with REC, I am just trying out their products for
Ryan.

Anyway, back to the original question, especially for the guys using
spinning gear, have you tried the Recoil guides, or, after looking at them,
what do you think? Word is they are hotter than Georgia asphalt
