I want to take it in to work tomorrow,'

It was written by Johnny Paycheck...

Probably, as he's retiring, it'd be that one about "...you can take
this job and..." I've had jobs it would have been nice to do that as
a leaving note.

I believe it was the Johnny Paycheck recording of the David Allen Coe
song...Take This Job And Shove It. Great tune and it is not used often
enough.

Hope to see you soon standing in a river waving a stick.

As the folks were leaving my AF retirement party, that song was on a loop
over the loudspeakers.
