Default Thanks to All For The Advice on Tippet!

Hey, thanks to (almost) everyone for the advice on my tippet issue.

I'm going to gear back to 6x fc, lighten up on the hookset, and see if
that solves my deal. If it doesn't, I might move back to 5x fc. I've
heard so much advice from people who fish my home river (Current
(Mo.)) urging me to go with 7x that I felt like it was a bad idea to
do anything else. Nice to know heavier tippet will work just as well
or better - for me, at least.

Now, has anyone fished below Beaver's Bend SP in SE Oklahoma? I'm
being dragged down there at 0-dark-hundred Sunday by a buddy who's
promised me some excellent fishing.

Again, thanks. I've learned a lot in the past few days.

What is your hookset like? Beginners usually do a yank the rod back
hook set. Your hook set should be more of a gentle lifting of the rod
with a gentle pulling of the line. I have caught 5 pound steelhead on a
dry fly with 2 pound tippet with this technique.
