Default Sea Fishing in Cyprus

Hi

I'm off to Cyprus soon and thinking of taking a couple of telescopic
rods with me. I want to take my son fishing of the small jetty's and
beaches.

Have any of you ever fished in Cyprus before? Any tips would be most
welcome.

Many Thanks

Hello Pete
If you remember I posted a question about beach casting a couple of weeks
ago which you responded to.Well I eventually found an instructor in Steyning
(west Sussex) called Richard Cook who was excellent, after 2 hours with him
I'd improved my cast to about 150 yards from about 100. and now know what to
practice - nice to have the option of a bit more distance even if it isn't
always needed.
Cheers
Jerry

Nice one Jerry, I saw a guy fishing at Hall Road ( Crosby,Liverpool) the
other day and I was in stitches, he ran at the railings and lobbed his
weight out then reached forward to get what he thought was extra distance!

Spinning for bass last week in Scotland, my telescopic rod snapped off just above the handle as I was casting. Only had a medium spoon and a 1/2 ounce lead on with 10lb. line.
Just a thought.
