I'm subscribed to rec.outdoors fishing, alt. fishing, and ROFF.

It seems that people post to the first 2 only in the evenings, but post to
ROFF during the day as well. (which I like, as I'm self employed, and when I
can, I research fishing)

Just curious. :-b

This varies a lot. You might like to have a look at some websites as well as
the newsgroups. There are thousands in the meantime, but here are a couple
of useful ones;

Glad I´m retired!

Mike, he said "deadbeats AND retirees," not "deadbeats OR retirees,"
so I guess he's implying the two categories are not mutually
exclusive. ((:-))

I was rather afraid of that. Not to worry, perhaps I could take a part time
job?
