How much is the out of state license, and is the fishing good in N. CA?
I'll be fishing for trout, and don't have a boat. Stream access would be a factor too, and don't like hudge rivers if possible. Thanks |

Hi Gary,
$88.20 gets a non-resident an entire year of fishing in California. $32.80 for 10 days. $16.55 for 2 days. http://fishmap.redding.com highlights NorCal fishing areas where people have caught their limits within the last 4 days. d |

Thanks Many/most of the Nor Cal rivers close on Nov 15th. Two exceptions are the Lower, and Upper Sacramento River. Fishing can be good, but always determined by weather/water temps, and....well, the fisherman's abilities. :-) brians brians |

For great big trout fishing, and steelhead, try Redding on the Sacramento river. |

The Sac is huge. But you can bank fish a lot of areas. You can fish from
the gravel bars behind the rodeo park in Redding (also know as the Posse Grounds). May be worthwhile to book a guide for a day. About $175. "gary" wrote in message .net... How big are those rivers?
