Refering back to some mention (By me and others) in another thread about
PETA trying to ban fishing, I was looking at thier site and clicked on the
new comic they have for kids that is supposed to show them (The kids) what
thier fishing dads are really like. Kids are smarter than they think and my
daughter likes to go fish we me. I look nothing like their picture (I dont
wear a suit and tie to go fishing), dont snarl and do not rip fish open with
a serrated edge knife (Mine is razor sharp and cuts cleanly and quickly). In
thier picture the only thing missing is the Swatika Armband. I recomend
taking a look at this garbage just so you can see the type of people they
are. Click on the comic picture to see a larger version. Its unbelievable.

CRIMENY! They are trying to ban crabbing too! As a Marylander I have to take
exception to that as Crabs are my absolute favorite food and PETA will stop
me from eating crabs when they can pry my dead OLD BAY encrusted hands from
around them. IS NOTHING SACRED ANYMORE!?

The vegan scum who claim moral superiority for consuming soy crap are
MUCH more destructive than lawful anglers and hunters.

Lawful anglers and hunters selectively remove individual specimens from
their environment, not harming the ecosystem.

OTOH, vegans cause ENTIRE ECOSYSTEMS to be destroyed. Soybean farms
are created by draining swamps and wetlands. The Ivory-Billed
Woodpecker is nearly extinct because most of their habitat was
destroyed to grow soybean farms. In addition to the endangered birds,
millions of fish were killed, and entire generations of dozens of
species of fish were permanently killed.

The PETA vegans sit around sipping coffee that was grown by
clearcutting rainforests to grow the coffee beans.

That PETA webpage, in addition to portraying fish-eaters as homicidal
psychopaths, says all released fish suffer pain and die because fish
don't have doctors to cure the painful wounds caused by our hooks.

Fact: PETA regularly murders thousands of dogs. They go to shelters,
claiming they've found homes for the dogs, when in reality they take
the dogs to PETA headquarters which contain gas chambers to murder the
dogs. Then PETA dumps the dead dogs in dumpsters belonging to private
businesses.

Most PETA members drive gas-guzzling SUVs and minivans, and they
destroy the environment by breeding like rabbits.

The vegan lifestyle causes vast forests to be clearcut to grow
vegetable crops. Vegans cause human abuse because crops are harvested
by slave labor bused in from Mexico.

Fish usually have minimal suffering, either a short-lasting pain of
their head being severed, or euthanasia from being put into ice.

Most upper caste Hindus in India consider fishing "murder". They come
to America and steal jobs from Americans, and they try to impose their
sick vegan beliefs on Americans. Some coworkers from India asked me
what I did the past weekend, and after I said I went fishing, they
called me a murderer for eating fish. I have no sympathy for the
victims of the recent bombings in New Delhi; good riddance to the
vegans!

Now you've got that off your chest, Terry... I have to say that as
irritating as the beliefs of other cultures' beliefs might be in our
own little worlds, intolerance and bigotry is not the answer.

How would you feel if somebody from another culture, who has suffered
greatly, much more than you have, because of the policies of your
government, said "hey wasn't 9/11 a blast!"

I'm quite appalled that you seem to be celebrating the loss of human
life. No matter how sound your argument or opinion, you've lost the
debate the very second you reveal that you're driven by hatred so deep
that it makes you happy to see others die. Sadly, you have diminished
the rational parts of your post, because people will only remember the
hate, not the facts that you have presented. Ultimately, they will
feel disinclined to further explore what you have brought to the
table.

Live and let live. BTW, the "they started it first" argument doesn't
hold water when you say things like that.

The fishing newsgroups have a long history of strong statements by
misanthropes. Look at this guy's solution to human overpopulation:

Yeah, I have to agree...population growth is the root of all the
problems.

No, not necessarily. Lack of spawning grounds, wetlands, habitat is probably
more important.

Now, ask yourself why there is a lack of spawning grounds, wetlands and screwed
up habitat...

It comes from population growth.

I think Dixon is right... Population growth is THE ROOT of it all.

But there is hope: AIDS. Also, fossil fuel sources, which fuel
development,
are finite.

I think there definitely is a correlation to people living on the coast, and
to pollution from these people and indirectly from dumping of chemicals and
such from companies.

But if, by some magic, all coastal populations were zapped from the face of the earth, without the estuaries there STILL would be no fish for a long time.
The estuaries must be restored, either by nature (a SLOW process) or by man
himself.

Right. We have to solve the problem at various levels. But clearly,
if we
don't solve the population problem we are only treating symtoms,
postponing
the inevitable. I agree, population growth is THE ROOT problem.

With hope for the future....

Nature will restore the balance, I think. The question is, how painful

will the process be? If you think our civilization is "permanent,"
study
history, then think again. Ignorant leadership brings collapse and
ruin.

I guess those carrots will be off their table too. I just know they
scream silently when we bit into them.

I actually read an Alfred Hitchock short story about that back in the 70's.
This guys sence of hearing was so keen he could hear the grass scream when
he was mowing the yard. He went crazy I think, which is what will probably
happen to PETA members.

If that came to pass, can you imagine their sense of rejection when
the trees tell them to bugger off when they try to hug them?
