Well, at least I call them friends, what they call me. . . . . . . ??? One
can only hope it is nice ;-).

But I just want all you to know, Jerry could have had the inside track to
the best fish on Okeechobee in real time, right up to the day of the actual
tournament (for I will never feed anybody info once a tournament begins or
the point in time when receiving such info would violate tournament rules),
and he turned it down. That goes to show what type of man he is, for I
would had used the info.

Craig, if you have such info why don't you just fish these tournaments
yourself? You'd be a millionaire in no time lol...

If I had the same type of connections on all the tournament lakes that I do
on Okeechobee, you would be right! and if I wasn't going to be fishing
against them, but I would. . . .

Now if only you could learn how to fish against them, maybe you would . . .
.. ;-)

You don't fish against "them" my boy, you fish against the fish. And I know
how...

While I agree with you that it is more about you and the fish vs., you
competing against another angler, I will respectfully disagree with about
your abilities to find and catch quality fish on new water. I truly believe
you have talent my man. I also believe you are force to contend with on
waters you know. But I wouldn't consider you a treat on a lake you have
never seen before. It is one skill I know you are currently working on,
and I believe in time you will become good at it.

It is one skill I believe I have already acquired. I do extremely well on
new water, but I believe it is because I do my homework that includes
talking with friends, other guides, bait & tackle owners, local anglers,
etc.. Studying past tournament results and fishing reports, and ton of other
data. By the time I hit that new lake, I think I know it as well or better
the locals that have lived on it all their lives. Money is going into the
bank, it won't be too much longer before we meet in competition, that I
promise you.
