How dark? Maybe we can lighten them up a little with Photoshop.

Chris,

email me one of them, and let me see what I can do with it.

If you've got it in RAW format, all the better, but I might be able to do
something with JPG as well.

I've got good video! You know what I'm talking about....

As soon as I figure out how to convert 8mm to .mpeg, I'll put it up
somewhere. Anyone have any ideas?

If it is regular 8mm or Hi-8mm and not Digi8, then you're probably looking
at some sort of capture add-on for your computer Charles. Snappy use to make
one, but I haven't seen theirs around of late. If it is Digi8, all you need
is a computer with a matching IEEE1384 (or whatever FireWire is called)
interface and video capture/edit software. Most of those packages today,
have the ability output to mpeg and maybe even mpeg-II. If not, they can
output to AVI or WMF and there are a bunch of freeware convertors out there
on the net to then convert it to an mpeg.
